The Dominikanerberg is the monopoly site of our family winery and the highest vineyard in the Ruwer Valley, with barren, blue slate soils. The Dominikanerberg is a 6-hectare site completely surrounded by forest and meadows: perfect conditions for biodynamic cultivation. Our Shropshire sheep live in this vineyard for six months of the year.
 The 2023 vintage on the Ruwer River was characterized by a cool and changeable spring and a warm, sunny summer, providing ideal conditions for slow and even ripening of the grapes. The combination of cool nights and warm days ensures a fine acid structure, intense aromatics, and a clear minerality, typical of the region's steep slate slopes. Overall, 2023 produced fresh, elegant wines with plenty of excitement, precision, and good aging potential.
